The Bible Answers is run by Mike Kelly. I am not a theologian, nor do I have a degree. This does not mean I have not studied the issues. Nobody is perfect (with the exception of God) and that includes our teachers. One only needs to remember the arguments between some of the disciples. I'm also keenly aware of the stricter judgement God deals out to those who would dare to teach in His name.
James 3:1(A)Let not many of you become teachers, (B)my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment.
Be assured that I realize the statements I make, apart from Scripture, are only well studied opinions. It is up to the Holy Spirit working in you that can bring you peace and understanding on controversial views. The Lord has given to each of us various gifts. Before I became a Christian God gave me a job and a life to prepare me for this current ministry. I enjoyed my 23 years as an instructor. With that gift and experience I hope to bring you answers that you will find acceptable, logical and clear. Each of us has something different to share according to the Gifts of God.
1 Corinthians 12:1Now concerning (A)spiritual gifts, brethren, (B)I do not want you to be unaware.
2(C)You know that when you were pagans, you were (D)led astray to the (E)mute idols, however you were led.
3Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking (F)by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is (G)accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is (H)Lord," except (I)by the Holy Spirit.
4Now there are (J)varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.
6There are varieties of effects, but the same (K)God who works all things in all persons.
7But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit (L)for the common good.
8For to one is given the word of (M)wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of (N)knowledge according to the same Spirit;
9to another (O)faith by the same Spirit, and to another (P)gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
10and to another the effecting of (Q)miracles, and to another (R)prophecy, and to another the (S)distinguishing of spirits, to another various (T)kinds of tongues, and to another the (U)interpretation of tongues.
11But one and the same Spirit works all these things, (V)distributing to each one individually just as He wills.
